SO, what's happening at the Center?
Summer 2018 has a lot of fun in store for homeschooling families in the Clark County area! We will be offering classes, (be sure to look in the Family Portal to see what's available and register!) day camps, weekly Storytime, Homeschool 101 class, IEW writing intensive course and more! Check it out!
Summer Storytime | Wednesdays 11am
Summer Storytime is geared towards kiddos ages 2-8, and will last about 45 minutes, with open play park afterwards! This is completely FREE! No registration required. Just show up, sit down and take a break from the heat!
Seedlings Day Camp | August 15-17
Seedlings Day Camp is for families with children 6yo and under. Each family will be assigned into a group, and those groups will move through a rotation of activity stations!
Arts and Crafts | Story Time | Science Activity | Outside Games | Snack Time
Families will stick together for this fun day camp, and age appropriate activities will be available for kids ages 2-6 at each station. Some things to look forward to…. T-Shirt Tie-Dye, water games, chapel time, science experiments and more! :)
Wednesday and Thursday we will spend at the Resource Center. Bring a sack lunch on Friday and join us for a field trip to Lewisville Park where we will play outdoors and do a scavenger hunt!

We will be posting a link here as soon as registration is up! Go ahead an select either "going" or "interested" to receive updates!
**Parents must provide a snack for their family. We suggest a nice hardy snack as we will be doing a lot of activities and they’ll need fuel!
**This is not a drop-off. Parents will remain with their children through the duration of the camp.
**Nursery is not provided, but for little ones we will have sensory and toys available at the stations.
**Tee-Shirts are included in the registration price for 2-6 year olds. If you’d like to purchase a shirt for your little one under 2, or for yourself, you may add that to your registration.

Nurturing Competent Communicators [FREE event!]
Aug 30, 7:00-8:30pm
Many parents think that good readers will naturally become good writers. Others think that writing talent is just that--a natural ability--some have it, others don't. Both are myths. History and modern research show very clearly how good writers develop and demonstrate the two most critical things needed for a high level of aptitude in writing. With humor and insight, Andrew will share the two easy but unbelievably powerful things you can do to build language patterns and nurture competent communicators in your family.

Introduction to Rhetoric: Grades 5-10: 11:30-2:00pm
Inventive Writing: Grades 5-10: 2:30-5:00pm
Cost: $30 per student/workshop
(Teachers and Parents of enrolled students may observe at no cost.)
High School Essay Intensive 8:30-3:30pm
Presented by IEW's humorous and engaging director and master teacher, Andrew Pudewa, the High School Essay Intensive class provides immediate experience and inside tips toward high school essay writing.
Cost: $50/participant (accompanying adult, $25)
